The work on the flies that began yesterday, January 27, 2016, continues today, January 28.
Northcoast Studios hauled a whole bunch of stuff to the Guild for their work on the flies. This morning, they put up a second scaffold.
Here are some of the “loft blocks” that will be fastened to the ceiling of the stage. They house the upper pulleys for the flies.
Here are some “arbors” that will hold the weights that counter-balance the flies.
These are head blocks that are fastened to the floor directly under the fly rail.
Roping that is used to raise and lower the flies.
And, finally, all that’s left of the Cheaper by the Dozen set, Mary Beth Oravec’s painting of a house. Snow will be added to the picture and it will be seen through a window in the set for The Mousetrap.
